March has been a busy month so far, which means I have a lot to tell you!
In social news, I have been celebrating Women’s History Month by posting a variety of interesting facts about the romance industry on my Facebook profile. Even committed fans of the genre will be surprised by some of the things I discovered!
Preparations are also underway for the Finding Home Launch Party on March 25th. Yes, it is a few months after the book actually went on sale – what can I say? It was winter. But I’m really looking forward to celebrating with readers and talking about Finding Home! Don’t worry if you aren’t local – I’m also holding a virtual event on my Facebook page, so everyone can enjoy photos of the food and decorations, and participate for a chance to win a free book. Check it out here: Facebook Event. Hope to see you there!
In the world of the Second Chances series, even more is happening. I got my first peek at the new cover of Finding Love (Second Chances, Book 2), and I am over the moon about it! Deborah at Tugboat Design has outdone herself once again. I really can’t wait to show it to you at the end of the month and see what you think. After the cover reveal, look for Finding Love to hit online retailers on April 17th. As well, Finding Love‘s spin-off novella Lost in Love (Second Chances, Book 2.5) is now complete and hitting the editing phase. Once you read Finding Love, you’ll see why these two characters really needed their own story! If you’re really lucky, you might see two short stories that follow the characters from these books offered for free on my website later this year. <wink wink>
Remember back in January when I was feeling all resolute about finishing up one particular crafting project lingering around my house? “No new projects until I finish the embroidery“, I think I said. Well, it’s already sort-of spring (Hello, Snowstorm – please leave) and I’ve already fallen off the wagon. Let’s see: there was the ‘quick’ Outlander-inspired poncho… then my nine-millionth baby blanket for a family member… three paper banners for Easter… and the decorations for the launch party. That’s only what I can remember. It’s a problem. I’m working on it.
Last but not least, a big thank you goes out to all the readers who have already finished Finding Home and shared your enthusiastic opinions with me! To those of you who took the extra step of leaving a review on a retailer website or on Goodreads: an even bigger thank you! Your thoughts will help other readers find their next great book – and help me continue writing the stories we all love to hear. Keep up the good work and keep spreading the word!
